Sinkadus-Aurum Nostrum is the first CD by this Swedish Sextet. Some people seem to think
they sound too much like Anglagard... I don't think so. And even if they did, that would be
alright with me.Although there are some similarities such as Frippish guitars and a female
cello player, They are less dynamic and not as intense as Anglagard.Maybe a bit more
meoldic and vocal. Come to think of it,they do sound a bit like Anglagard. But like I said
before, that's alright with me. They keep getting better with every listen and have become
one of my favorite newer bands.

I, personally, don't like the ones from the "dark side", but I have
both "Aurum Nostrum" and "Cirkus" from Sinkadus. I also
don't like the Swedish vocals. I borrowed once Sinkadus' Cirkus and I can say I
like it.

I saw them last weekend on progfarm festival and they were great!

I have just returned from the ProgFarm Festival in Holland, where Sinkadus were
playing...yes they are typical of the dark Swedish scene & the singing in
Swedish only adds to the atmosphere The music was so powerful & emotional it
almost made me cry!! I certainly have never experienced this emotion at a gig
before!

Well... it seams that almost everybody likes the music from Sinkadus, except for
MYSELF. I write this message only to underline that I didn't say that
their music wasn't good. I've only said that I didn't like it, OK?

Nope. You're not alone. I also don't like their music. Well, I saw them open for ProgFest '97 in L.A. and every single piece, every bar sounded just like the
last, & very uneventful. The cellist looked bored, too.
