From: "Stephen
Ellis" <> Subject: FW: A slow day in the office!
Which Brings me to the last of my musical office party CD's. I'm going to say
this up front. Buy this CD! It's by a band, Singularity, <> "Color of Space". The
entire CD has a power, intensity, mastery, and grace rarely seen in a bands
first release. Recording late '98 and early '99, this band has a familiar sound
while introducing the listener to new twist to the same old thing. This band has
probably listened to every Rush CD as their style is clearly in the Rush vein. Vocalist does not sound like Geddy Lee but
does have a high almost in the Jon Anderson range voice. The music is very
spacey in a Rush sorta way and yet is new and unfamiliar. The first two songs
"Ripple In Time" and "Mars Direct" clearly point out the
Sci-fi influences these guys like to comment on. Those are the two
"short" songs on the CD. There are only 6 songs on the whole disc,
with the last four clocking in : Ebb and Flow 7:33, Who We Are 8:48 (this song
brings tears to my soul it's so good>, Strange Attraction 6:19, and the most
wonderful Lenses at 15:55. You reach the end of a CD and go, damn, that's all
there is? Well CD does that to me each time I listen to it. As
I said in my opening comments on this band, go now and purchase it. Only $10
from FossilRecords. Orders can be made from www.singularitymusic.com
