I just saw Guigou Chenevier (drummer for the Etrons) live here in
Chicago over the weekend in les batteries. Itwas fantastic. les batteries is
a drum/electronics/sax/miminal vocals duo of Guigou and Rick Brown. There
music is composed scores for 2 trap kits, cheap electroncis and sax...we
arent talking 45 minutes of drum solo's here either, these are real songs
composed for percussion. Highly recommended, the Wayside catalog carries them
among other on-line prog vendors.

;yes, indeed....they were in Cleveland (OHIO) last Tuesday (opening for
Blegvad, Greaves, Cutler)(unfortunately in one of the crappiest
hole-in-the-wall sorry excuse for a "venue" that i have even been in.) and i
can honestly say that i never would have believed that two drummers could
have kept me entertained for nearly an hour, but aside from some obnoxious
vocals from Brown...it really was fantastic! it was not just noise, or
wierdness (although they did use those elements)... it was _real_ music!
