Here's a quote from Beppe Crovella in the book 'The Return of Italian Pop' (1996
edition) which is put out by Vinyl Magic:
"I did start a relationship with Vinyl Magic in 1990, producing groups like
Calliope, Syndone, Castello Di Atlante and Alluminogeni. With this entourage I'm
trying to recreate music that keeps the spirit of the Seventies, without having
to deal with the compromises and restrictions of recording labels, a very
typical problem in those years." It also indicates that in the Eighties (after 'Arti
E Mestieri' broke up) he opened his own recording studio and worked on
soundtracks for cartoons. He also produced some groups and had a band of his own
called 'Mock-Ups'. They played some of the pieces later done with the Romantic
Warriors such as "Butterfly" and "Beyond the Land". He also has a
solo work called 'Kings of Clubs' with some of his Hammond Organ compositions.
He's planning on a follow-up to 'Romantic Warriors' and a collaboration with
'Mosaic'. Also he's still producing for the four bands listed up top. He says,
"My project is to recreate a movement close to that of the Seventies for
creativeness, ideology and unity". So if he owns Vinyl Magic it is not evident
here... I couldn't find any evidence of who owns the label at their website:
