Just played C?ice - Alba Y Ocaso for the first time and It's fantastic! It's
a double CD with music in the Camel-ELP vein.Lots of keyboard and guitar
interplay. I especially like the 54 minute suite-Iconos with its Emerson
style chops. Did anybody catch them at Baja Prog this year? I bet they were
excellent!

Howdy - this codice will not stay off my stereo - 2 cds of solid crush early
seventies prog - the album is all in Spanish and I know nothing about this
band - first cd is straight up rockin' killer prog with Mexican vocals. the
second is twisted and crazed and just plain gets out there.

And, Marcelo, CODICE is a Mexican band. They are from Monterrey, NL, Mexico,
Mexico and this is their very first CD. As said by Idgreg, in the style of
the early seventies, for my taste close to the Italian classics mixed with a
King Crimson feel to it (Lark's era).

Next up was one of my south of the border bands purchases that (thanks to my
friend Bryan Miller) I've really enjoyed finding out about. From Mexico, The
CD is by Codice "Alba Y Ocaso". This is a CD release, with the 2nd CD the 53
minute Icons Suite. This is
excellent music, more symphonic than Cast but not as much so as say Tempest
Fugit. A wonderful blend of female and male vocals, and when she sings it
send chills down my spine. Very good music that begs for more and more
listens. I'll be honest, I have yet to get to disc 2 as I have liked disc 1
so much! Again, highly recommended, certainly if you like symphonic styled
prog.
