11. Cabezas de Cera, very interesting 3 piece. Electronic percussion, Chapman
Stick and winds. These guys looked to be about 18 years old but played like
they are seasoned musicians. Slightly 80's King Crimson influenced songs.

"CDC" by Mexican band CABEZAS DE CERA. Style: Rock/ Progressive Rock.
Ok, here we go. Imagine King Crimson's "Beat" with a twist and attitude.
Sometimes progressive, sometimes beyond. Anyway, a superb production that
will draw your attention from start to end. Including members of NAZCA and EL
ENGRANE AMARILLO. This is a re-issue of their first CD minus the puzzle. For
more information on these and other independent releases, please contact Juan

Cabezas de Cera - Now we're talking! This is what prog is supposed to be.
They are definitely new, unique and unusual. They are comprised of Chapman
Stick/guitar, drums/edrums (a very minimalist kit) and sax player. The have a
small Crimson influence (mostly in the stick playing) but the way they weave
South American influences in are both subtle and beautiful. The drummer is a
phenom, the stick/guitar player is stellar and the horn player can play
almost every reed instrument there is. They got many, very spontaneous
standing ovations.
