Here's a few recent CD purchases of mine which are notable for comment:
Buon Vecchio Charlie / same (Italy, recorded 1971, released 1990, 40 min.) -
Classical, mostly-instrumental, diverse and complex... eclectic collection of
5 musical suites with excellent virtuoso performances including some great
keyboards, flute & sax and some minor vocals. Influences are Colosseum, King
Crimson, Genesis, Nice and ELP. It reminds me of a bit of RDM - 'Contaminazione'.
This is a lost classic and is highly recommended!!

I agree with Mark Fonda about Buon Vecchio Charlie, which really is a
masterpiece, one of my favourite albums, deserves a much wider recognition. I
have the Melos release, but last year it came out for the second time on CD,
this time released by the Italian label Arkarma with bonus material.
