Apoteosi--Self Titled (1975...Mellow Records, 1993 reissue) Another of those
"essential" 70's Italian progressive albums, this was Apoteosi's only
release, and it's a beauty. Driven by keyboards, guitar, and flute, the 5
track's artfully contrast quiet pastoral moments with all-out Hammond/synth
jams, with emphasis on subtle classicism expressed mostly with piano and
string synth, as well as plenty of moog explorations. Female and male vocals
in Italian, very tight instrumental interplay, both short and extended
tracks...this should do the trick for fans of PFM and Le Orme.
